Mindy Silva
BSc (Physio) Wits
Mindy completed her physiotherapy degree at the University of the Witwatersrand. She has been working in paediatrics from 1996, first at Frances Vorwerg School for children with cerebral palsy and then in her own paediatric private practice. Mindy is one of the founding members of CentaPaeds Therapy Centre which opened in 2005.
Mindy has also worked part-time at the Transvaal Memorial Institute, in the Unit for Visually Impaired children. She was chairperson of the Gauteng Branch of the South African Neurodevelopmental Therapy Association for 3 years. She is one of the directors of CentaPaeds Therapy Centre, where she works full time. Mindy has completed her NDT training and is in the process of completing her thesis for her masters degree in child health and neurodevelopment, at the University of the Witwatersrand Medical School, Paediatric Department.
Solange Brizido
Dr of Phsyiotherapy Duke University (USA)
Solange completed all her tertiary education in the United States. She received her BSc in pre-medicine from Eckerd College in Florida, and then went on to complete her Doctorate of physiotherapy at Duke University in North Carolina. Solange worked at UCSF medical center in San Francisco for three years, primarily in the neurology wards, before returning to South Africa.
Once home, she completed her two year public service at Forest Town School before joining CentaPaeds Therapy Centre as one of the directors. She completed her basic NDT training in 2009 and has since completed advanced courses in the assessment and treatment of infants.
Josephine Mare
Grad Dip (Physio) ICSP
Josephine qualified as a physiotherapist in 1985 from the North London School of Physiotherapy in London, England. She began working in paediatric neurodevelopmental therapy in 1993 at Philip Kushlick School, in Soweto and later Francis Vorwerg School, in Johannesburg, becoming head of the physiotherapy department at FVS in 2000. She has been at CentaPaeds since it opened in 2005.
Josephine completed her neurodevelopmental therapy training in 1998 and has gone on to complete several advanced courses in neurodevelopmental therapy. She served on the committee of the Southern Gauteng Branch of the South African NDT Association for 5 years and currently gives of her time when she is not working at CentaPaeds Therapy Centre to help families with babies that have visual impairments at The Childrens’s Disability centre at the Johannesburg Hospital.
Tamara Gritzman
BSc (Physio) Wits
Tamara completed her undergraduate training in physiotherapy at the University of the Witwatersrand in Johannesburg in 2006. She did her year of community service at Helen Joseph Hospital in Auckland Park, where she assisted in expanding the physiotherapy department and establishing new programs. Tamara trained as an NDT therapist with Dr. Gillian Saloogee in 2009.
She is currently completing her Masters in Paediatric Physiotherapy, focusing her research on children with Developmental Coordination Disorder. She has worked primarily at Centapaeds since 2008, but also assists with training of the undergraduate students at Wits.
Dianne Zeller
BSc (Physio) Wits

Dianne completed her physiotherapy degree at Wits University in 1992. She initially worked in general orthopaedic physiotherapy. She decided to specialise in paediatric physiotherapy in 2002 when she completed her basic NDT course. She has since gone on to complete many advanced courses in neurodevelopmental therapy and is so passionate about NDT that she is now qualifying as an NDT instructor in order to train other therapists.
Stacey Lisa Edelman
BSc (Physio) Wits
Stacey completed her undergraduate training in physiotherapy at the University of the Witwatersrand. She then completed her community service at the Johannesburg General Hospital, and went on to train as an NDT therapist under Dr. G. Saloogee.
Stacey is currently awaiting her results for her Masters of Science in Paediatric Physiotherapy. She focused her research on children with Developmental Coordination Disorder, but is passionate about working with all children who are in need of Neurodevelopmental therapy. For the past four years Stacey has worked in private paediatric practice before joining the Centapaeds team this year.
Keri-Anne Hacker
BSc (Physio) Pretoria University
Keri completed her BCom marketing at RAU in 2002, and then went on to complete her physiotherapy degree at Pretoria University. Her community service was performed at Charlotte
Makexe Hospital. Keri has always been passionate about paediatric physiotherapy and decided to complete her basic NDT course in 2009. She has since completed advanced courses in the assessment and treatment of infants and children with cerebral palsy. Keri then worked at Frances Vorwerg School before joining the Centapaeds team on a part-time basis. The remainder of her time is spent with her two beautiful, baby girls.
