Speech Therapists at CentaPaeds

Nicole Chesler

Nicky CheslerNicole Chesler graduated with a BA honours in Speech and Hearing Therapy from the University of the Witwatersrand in 1990. She worked at the Johannesburg Hospital and Transvaal Memorial Institute for 5 years. During this time she did research and published an article on foetal valproate syndrome.

Nicky started a private practice in the Edenvale area in 1996. She has done her basic NDT course as well as an advanced NDT speech courses. Nicky has been with CentaPaeds from when it opened in 2005.

Philippa Glogauer

Philippa GlogauerPhilippa completed her undergraduate training in Speech and Hearing Therapy in 1999, and her Master’s degree in Speech Pathology in 2001, both at the University of the Witwatersrand. She has worked privately in several preschools and primary schools, as well as in multidisciplinary therapy practices, since 2000.

Philippa spent 2 years overseas working in the schools system in the UK. She joined CentaPaeds Therapy Centre in 2006, the same year that she completed her basic NDT training.

Monica Cipolat

Monica completed her undergraduate training in Speech and Hearing Therapy in 2001 at the University of the Witwatersrand. She has worked with children between the ages of 3 years and 11 years in various nursery schools and primary schools and she has conducted hearing screenings at nursery schools.

Monica has also worked with head injuries and aphasia within a multidisciplinary team. Monica joined CentaPaeds at the beginning of 2009.
